The UK was the stepping stone into the European market for UPPAbaby in 2010. Already a recognised and growing brand in the USA, our challenge was to take the brand from relative obscurity in the UK and replicate the North American success story. DCUK could then be used as a model for distributors across mainland Europe in the second phase of their European expansion.
DCUK launched UPPAbaby in the UK market with a single product, the popular VISTA. With a focus on the one product and brand building through social media and review web sites, VISTA quickly achieved extensive retail distribution. Since launching in the UK the VISTA has won a host of awards, including a Which? Best Buy, Gold Awards from Mother & Baby and Practical Parenting & Pregnancy magazines and rave reviews from online sites such as Pushchair Expert.
Since then the cosmopolitan CRUZ pushchair and G-LUXE stroller have been brought to market, along with a host of beautifully designed accessories. The CRUZ has picked up the much coveted Best Buy award from Which? and went straight to the top of their review rankings for pushchairs.
2018 has also seen the successful launch of the compact MINU stroller in the UK which has also won Gold in the Junior Design Awards and the Best Baby & Toddler Gear Awards.
Over the last eight years, DCUK have made UPPAbaby a highly regarded and coveted brand in the UK with retail distribution through both independent and national nursery stores. The emphasis from the USA on offering industry leading customer service has been replicated in the UK with a dedicated customer service team and UK spares back up.
